Jo Couling MA, MBACP (Sen. Accred) Counsellor & Psychotherapist in Warwick

I feel anxious about coming to counselling

It is natural to feel a bit anxious initially, especially if this is the first time you have been to counselling. The first session gives you an opportunity to tell me something about the problems you are experiencing and to ask any questions about the counselling. I hope that you will feel safe and comfortable talking to me, but there is no obligation to book further sessions if you do not.

How long is the appointment and how many will I need?

Appointments are 50 minutes long. Many people find that they achieve what they want from counselling in about 8-12 sessions, but others choose to take longer and work at a deeper level.

How much will it cost?

Sessions cost £50 for individuals and £60 for couples. The first session is free of charge and there is no obligation to book further sessions.

Will I need a counselling session each week?

I usually suggest weekly sessions to start with, but if cost is a concern, we can agree to meet fortnightly. Another option is to agree to set a limit on the number of sessions

Does it need to be at the same time and day each week?

It can be at the same time and day each week if this suits you, but I am also happy to arrange flexible counselling appointments to fit in with your work patterns or other commitments.

Where does counselling take place?

I see clients in a private therapy room in a quiet area in central Warwick. Free and convenient parking is available nearby.

How do I make an appointment?

You can contact me by emailing [email protected] or ring me on 07759 661276. If I am not available, please leave me a message with the best time to contact you. Appointments are usually available withing 3-5 days.
