Jo Couling MA, MBACP (Sen. Accred) Counsellor & Psychotherapist in County Durham

I feel anxious about coming to counselling

Whether you are coming for couples counselling or as an individual, it is natural to feel a bit anxious initially, especially if this is the first time you have been to counselling. The first session gives you an opportunity to tell me something about the problems you are experiencing and to ask any questions about the counselling. I hope that you will feel safe and comfortable talking to me, but there is no obligation to book further sessions if you do not.

How long is the appointment and how many will I need?

Appointments are 50 minutes long. Many people find that they achieve what they want from counselling in about 8-12 sessions, but others choose to take longer and work at a deeper level.

How much will it cost?

Sessions cost £58 for individuals and £68 for couples.
