I feel anxious about coming to counselling
It is natural to feel a bit anxious initially, especially if this is the first time you have been to counselling. The first session gives you an opportunity to tell me something about the problems you are experiencing and to ask any questions about the counselling. I hope that you will feel safe and comfortable talking to me, but there is no obligation to book further sessions if you do not.
How long is the appointment and how many will I need?
Appointments are 50 minutes long. Many people find that they achieve what they want from counselling in about 8-12 sessions, but others choose to take longer and work at a deeper level.
Will I need a counselling session each week?
Sessions are offered weekly. If cost is a concern, we can agree to set a limit on the number of sessions.

Sessions are offered at the same time and day each week, but there is some flexibility if this is difficult for you.
Where does counselling take place?
Due to the current pandemic, I am unable to offer face to face sessions. Counselling is available either online or by telephone.
